A Hull father has created a new cartoon superhero in a bid to educate children about the environment and veganism.

Phil Tutton, of Jalland Street, off Holderness Road, east Hull, has produced and published a book featuring a character called Wonderpig.

He launched his creation at a vegan festival this weekend in a bid to educate children about poor diets and animal cruelty.

Issues including global warming and climate change are also tackled by the new character in the book.
