Teenage girls steal spaniel from shop

POLICE want to trace two teenage girls who stole a dog from outside a busy city centre supermarket.
Barney, a black cocker spaniel, disappeared after being tied up by his owner outside Sainsbury's in Rose Street.
The theft emerged 24 hours after two boys were charged with stealing a dog and dumping it on a busy motorway.
Three-year-old collie-cross Sasha died from horrific injuries after being hit by several vehicles on the M8 near Hermiston Gait retail park.
Now Barney's heartbroken owner fears her pet has met a similar fate.
